Human Rights Campaign Names Robins Kaplan LLP A “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality” for Thirteenth Consecutive Year
January 27, 2022

Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that the firm has earned a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) and has been recognized as a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality.” This is the thirteenth year that the firm has achieved this prestigious ranking.
Issued each year by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the CEI is a national benchmarking survey and report that reviews and evaluates corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality, including non-discrimination policies, equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families, supporting an inclusive culture, and corporate social responsibility.
Robins Kaplan advocates for LGBTQ+ rights through a variety of important initiatives. The firm regularly partners with OutFront Minnesota to offer a LGBTQ+ legal clinic, which offers assistance to transgender individuals seeking to change their names. Volunteer attorneys walk clients through the name change process and help them draft legal forms to submit to the court. Last year, Robins Kaplan provided more than 700 hours of pro bono services to transgender clients seeking to enforce their rights.
Additionally, during Pride Month in June, the LGBTQ+ Resource Group hosted an informative CLE program via Zoom. The CLE included updates on legislation targeting the transgender community that threatens access to healthcare, sports competition, public accommodations, and other key issues.
The full 2022 CEI report is available here.
